Red Reference MkIII 'Best CD player 2012' says Hi-Fi World

It's a huge honour from the UK's biggest-selling specialist hi-fi magazine: Hi-Fi World has recognised the astonishing performance of the Red Reference MkIII in its new January 2013 issue. In a packed edition, the Red Reference beat off the competition to scoop the award with the title describing the player as: "a unique and also massive engineering exercise from tip to toe. It's 14kg chassis is a work of art... A true reference player, the Chord Red Reference (MKIII) is another unique and impressive product."

The prestigious award follows Hi-Fi World's in-depth review from the June 2012 issue, where the magazine gave the player the ultimate overall score of five-out-of-five; a full PDF of the review can be downloaded here.
